I feel for you ! It makes me cry to see you have to go through this pain. You are lucky to have a great mom that loves you so much. I wish you some peace in your life and i hope you find some. Hang in there you are not alone even though it feels like it at times.. I wish there was something we could do to figure this tourette stuff out.. I'll keep trying.

God bless you, Tyler. I know some of what you are going through and it sucks. But please if you can safely hold off on doing any kind of surgical procedures, please wait until you are in your early to mid 20s. So many of us have had major reduction in the severity of TS and lessening of tics as we get a bit older. It is such a dangerous surgery, I would only go through with it if it were deemed more dangerous not to. In the meantime, hang in there, you are not alone. When I was a kid nobody knew what TS was, and I felt like the only person in the world with such bizarre behavior. Its so much easier to have support of others with the same problems. You are a very brave and inspiring person, not only to other tourettians but to everyone out there. Hang in there!

Did you ever try Marijuana ? THere has been case studies proving 50% reduction in severity of amount and duration.

A lot of people I know have seen the "teenage tourettes camp" movie and kept saying that it was fake. There is nothing fake about this. i really feel for you tyler. i know its been a hard life, but know that there are people out there that wish they could make it better.

Tyler, you are a hero in my eyes for always thinking of others first, no matter what happens to you. I'm praying for the best possible outcome for your surgery and am sure it will go well. A family member had the DBS surgery for her Parkinson's Disease and now she lives a wonderful, normal life.

Real hero's do not choose thier role as hero. But Ty you are a hero. Your suffering is not of your choosing but it has made you a hero because you carry your burden with humility. My God soon take this from you and may you contiue to know that you will always be a hero.
